Have you tried @daveshotchicken yet? We stopped by the new Toronto location to try their famous Nashville Hot Chicken and WOW!!! It’s DEFINITELY worth the hype (and the long line ups).

What started off as a small pop up shop in LA has quickly grown into a cult favourite fried chicken joint and after checking it out we now know why. They specialize in hot chicken tenders and sliders which are made according to your choice of 7 different spice levels starting from “No Spice” to the hottest flavour “Reaper”

Featuring:

We went for the “Medium” tenders and “Hot” sliders combos (spice levels 4 & 5) which are served with fries, pickles and Dave’s sauce.

Mmmm, we really enjoyed this delicious feast!!! We can handle our spice pretty well so the Medium tenders were just the right level – flavourful and not so spicy that it’s mouth burning (in our opinion). The Hot sliders, however turn up the heat and have that extra fiery kick. The crinkle fries and Dave’s sauce were on point and paired perfectly with the drool worthy chicken. We think we could go up to “Extra Hot” for next time (with some water on hand). But if you can handle extreme heat – you have to try the “Reaper”. Be warned though, you have to sign a Liability Waiver before proceeding!

In addition to the tender and slider combos, you can also grab sides of mac & cheese, fries, cheesy fries, kale slaw and single orders of the yummy chicken.

Now this is a spot we’d go back to again because once isn’t enough. We especially loved the Toronto themed, @champagnepapi inspired decor inside which includes a mural featuring their chicken mascot sitting on top of the CN Tower (Views album vibes) and this super cool neon sign.

You have to stop by @daveshotchicken, it might just be the best fried chicken you ever had!!!
